Flex Interconnect Technologies (FIT), a leader in design, manufacture and assembly of flexible printed circuits, announced today that it has passed its annual AS9100 revision B certification with flying colors. FIT's Quality Management System received almost-perfect score of 99.5%, well exceeding the average passing score of 85%.

Developed by International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQC), the AS9100 revision B standard is the Aerospace industry's benchmark for the safety and reliability in manufacturing. FIT's recertification was granted after intense audit by Intertek Systems, covering FIT's facility, quality management system, management review board, contracts, quality, production, training and customer satisfaction.

"With the Aerospace industry comprising 20% of our business, and that number growing each year, AS9100 recertification is an affirmation of what our customers have come to expect; our continuing commitment to quality and on time delivery," said Chetan Shah, FIT's Co-founder and CEO.

"With the number of AS9100 certifications highly regulated, FIT is one of the few PCB companies in the world with AS9100 certification," said Dean Matsuo, FIT's Co-founder and Vice President. "With a dependable manufacturing team, technical know-how, comprehensive capabilities and ongoing capital investment, FIT is truly a world class manufacturer for the Aerospace and Defense industries."

Flex Interconnect Technologies is ITAR registered and it's Quality Management System also complies with FDA regulation part 820: Good Manufacturing Practices for medical devices.
